Directions: The John Wooden Center is located in the center of the UCLA campus . Opposite to the Morgan Center and in front of the Bruin Bear.
Introduction: John Wooden Center is a sport center, which offers a great variety of different indoor recreational activities. Additionally, the facility hosts numerous intercollegiate athletic programs and special events on two floors.
It offers two level underground parking, which makes it convenient to the visitors.
On the first floor the John Wooden Center provides different kinds of sport facilities especially for endurance training, a sqare foot hardwood floor gymnasium with three recreational basketball courts, one competition bsketball or volleyball court, a rock climbing wall and a huge area for lifting weights. On the second floor you will find special rooms designed for sport classes, for example Dancing, Yoga and Fitness Exercises. The John Wooden Center also provides outdoor activities.
History: The John Wooden Center is named after a basketball coach John Wooden, who let a basketball team to win 10 national champions in 12 years. Now it is UCLA's main workout center.
The John Wooden Center opens throughout the whole week, as you can see below:
Monday-Thursday: 5:30am-10:45pm
Friday: 5:30am-9:45pm
Saturday: 9:00am-7:45pm
Sunday: 9:00am-7:45pm
Conclusion: The John Wooden Center is great area for students to do several sport activities and provides the opportunity to interact with other students. All workers are students . They are always willing to help you and provide the proper information.
